Dual Enrollment Funding/Tuition & Fee Waiver

The funding provided by the Maine Department of Education (MDOE) is very generous and allows for rising/high school juniors and seniors who attend a Maine public or registered homeschool to take a lifetime maximum of 18 college credits with tuition and fees waived. Please note that these 18 credits are across all Maine Community Colleges and the U Maine schools. After a student has reached the 18 funded credits, they still have access to additional courses – for concurrent ones, they will be billed at $60/credit hour.

For CTE students on an approved CTE pathway, an additional 6 credits are available with tuition/fees waived.

For out-of-state students, a reduced tuition is arranged with your high school and °®¶¹´«Ã½.

For private school or tuition-paying students at semi-public high schools in Maine, concurrent courses are billed at $60/credit hour.

Course Success/Future Eligibility

If a student is unsuccessful in a concurrent enrollment course, they will discuss the situation with the Dual Enrollment Success Coach regarding future eligibility.Ìý If a student withdraws from a dual enrollment course, they will be considered for repeating the course in a future semester based on the reasons for withdrawing. °®¶¹´«Ã½ seeks to be responsible stewards of state funding while accommodating students’ unique circumstances as best possible.
